Friedrich H.W. Martini’s “Neues systematisches Conchylien-Cabinat”, published in Nurnberg 1769-1790.

Martini was a Hamburg physician who oversaw the publication with Johann Hieronymus Chemnitz, a Danish clergyman. Copper-plate engravings with beautiful original hand-colouring of many rare and beautiful species of shells.
