This is the deluxe edition of a color lithograph designed by Calder for Braniff Airways as an American bicentennial commemoration. Calder was commissioned by Braniff in 1975 to design a flying canvas for the airlines' Boeing 727 fleet, to celebrate the nation's 200th birthday; this colour lithograph was based on his design for the right engine nacelle of the planes.
